Journaling Scripture

2012-07-01_18-33-27_434.jpg   These are a few scriptures I had jotted down over the past few weeks for various reasons in my journal. I jot down all sorts of things, but mainly prayers and requests and things I feel the Lord is speaking to me. I write down when prayers have been answered or revelation. I ask questions and for the Lord to show me certain things. I take notes from things I'm reading and scripture.  It’s amazing to read back over a month.    There were two specific things I want to share, but I couldn't get them straight in my mind. He has perfect timing, so it will come. Enjoy!

Exodus 2:23-25

During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help, because of their slavery, went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

Pslam 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord: he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

Romans 12 1-2 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice- the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Philippians 4:6-7 Don‘t worry about anything: instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God‘s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

2 Tim 1-7 Fear not for I am with you.

1 Cor. 7:23 You were bought at a price, do not become slaves to men.

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice: I know them, and they follow me.

Phil 4:9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep perfect peace in him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts you.

Read 1 Peter Chapter 1 and 2. You won’t be sorry!!!

Read Hebrew 11 especially 13-16

Hope you have a wonderful week!!

My grandfather and mother have passed down a life time of journaling. I am due to receive my grandfather's journals in which he faithfully wrote daily for over 60 years. I’m not as disciplined, as he rarely misses a day.

My journal of choice is a Moleskine.
