1000+ LIKES? I Feel A Rural Women Rock Jewelry Giveaway Comin' On

Good Monday morning Ladies! I know I had your attention at Jewelry, but stay with me for a minute. Hope you had a terrific weekend. I feel another good week coming on. January is my most favorite month- all wrapped up in its newness. I’ve been making some lists, goals, and to do’s. Starting new things and trying new things. Working on that winter blubber, and clearing cobwebs from my mind. I’m hoping the current momentum will push me until March- my Birthday month. That should be just enough boost to carry me until spring arrives. Once my toes are free, there will be no turning back.

Would love to know if you ladies make resolutions?  I know Jan. 1st is up and gone, but I always feel like I have the month to get things sorted out for the year, so I’m still working on it. Might just give you a peak when I get done- that’s motivation. If you do make resolutions and blog about them, facebook the links to the RWR page, I'm sure we could all use the inspiration.

I’ve been a bit curious how you ladies are feeling about the two posts a week verses the five. Are you having more time to visit the sites, and relish in the posts? Are we wanting more or is this just right? Please comment here or tell me on facebook.

That reminds me. What you've been waiting for- we have passed the 1000 mark on face book.  Not bad for a few months in the making. I’m a bit new to this, but have been told that warrants a giveaway. I had some custom Rural Women Rock jewelry made.  Two of my old junkin’ girlfriends have become something of a “big deal”, and make the cutest things.  I just told them to do whatever they wanted to do, so I’m so excited to see what they came up with. Just got a message that the jewely will be in the mail today. I’m not going to start the giveaway until the jewelry is in hand. (things just have a way of going wrong when I get ahead of myself) but here are a few pictures of their work. I'm not sure what ours will look like, but I'm betting super cute. I’ll post photos of the RWR jewelry as soon as it arrives, and we’ll begin the giveaway. So check back soon. It’s going to be another easy peasy entry, so no worries.

We are still working on the new site. Slow, I know. We have decided to keep the blog too and just do some cross linking to the new site. I’m getting attached to this site, but we need the other for better searching (RWR yellow pages), and to allow you ladies to better communicate if you’d like. We picked a Druple platform because it was the most powerful platform we could find- we’re dreaming big over hereJ However, we have found that it has its share of quirks and loops. We have found not a soul in Northwest Oklahoma who knows a thing about it. We’ve even visited two of our local technical schools. I think the wiz- Janie has jumped through most of the hoops and loops, and we are beginning the design work, so it shouldn’t be long. I don’t want to say when- it will just have to be a surprise.

We have another couple of great features planned for the week, so check back. If you’ve been out there watching and want to step forward, we’d love to feature you. We are working on February and March. I’m looking for some gardener bloggers to get spring going. They won’t all be gardeners, but would love for some to step forward. Don’t be shy!

Have a great week!

Kasse D.

  1. I'm excited to see the jewelry! I think the number of posts per week is just right. When it was 5 per week, I felt panicky, like I couldn't read them all! haha... Congratulations on the 1000+ followers on facebook. That's a big deal!

  2. I too like the 2 posts a week, I also really like the blog rather than Facebook or other avenues.
Can't wait to see what the jewelry looks like.

  3. I think the 2 posts a week is just fine Kasse, I hate getting behind and potentially missing something good! No resolutions - rather some "goals" (that way I don't feel so bad it they don't happen)!
