Open Mic

Ok we are officially opening the Microphone Ladies. If you want to be featured, email me. I will then give you the outline for your guest post, date you will be posting, and other good info. After your guest posts, we will archive your information. The first 50 Guest Posts will have the opportunity to be featured a second time after RWR’s 6 month mark. That is, if this takes off, and you want.

I have hand chosen a few ladies to feature first.  Women who have inspired me along the way, so link up, and get ready to meet some ROCKIN WOMEN.

I am no big deal but.........................................................here is a picture of me and "My Boyfriend :)".

Me and my Grandpa

I started thinking most of you have no idea who I am or what I’m about. I’m telling you to come join me, but for all you know, I could be some wild and crazy lady or an eighty year old man. I’m not about to tell you that I’m not a wild and crazy lady, but I’m not an 80 year old man. Anyway, this is a bit about me just so you will know who is in the drivers seat over here at RWR. Oh, and if you missed the caption, the photo is me and my grandpa.

I have very few photos of myself.  This is one of those "I was here too" photos.  Anyone ever do that?

I live in a small town in rural Oklahoma, raised on the ranch that my great, great, grandfather purchase for a shot gun and fifty dollars 117 years ago. I left home and came home all in about a 14 year period. I currently own and operate Miss Duffy's Flower Shop in our small town, population somewhere around 800. I have owned a small business for almost 13 years now. I am a wife and a mother of two.

The four of us.

At this juncture,  there is going to be a shift from me to you. Well, I’ll still be here to direct and inform, but from this point forward, this is going to be about you.

Now, I want to remind you that this entire concept has evolved very organically. I did not begin with the end in mind, but I do think my thoughts have caught up with each other. While I’m working out the bugs, I’d really like all of you to invite and share. Lets round up a bigger audience. Direct them here, and encourage them to read the "New Pages" we have created to let new comers get familiar with the concept, and join.  Now back to my other life.  I will post a few photos of the store soon.

Shop talk:  Meet Wilma.  I love her.  She is always bringing me wonderful gifts, and advice!

A little disclaimer from the flower shop: With the exception of weddings, most of the things that happen in a flower shop are last minute and unexpected. It builds flexibility into life weather I want it or not. Oh, and I wouldn't be in business otherwise.  I’m saying this, because the occasion my arise that I drop off the face of the earth for a few days. Not only to you all, but my family and friends as well. These are the “three funerals and a wedding” days, and there won’t be anything I can do about them. I am the designer, the cashier, cleaning lady, PR person, bookkeeper, and sometimes counselor at the store. Hopefully, you all will be lined up waiting to “Guest Post”, so your not hearing the crickets chirping on those days.  Yesterday was one of those days.
